About Our Beginnings as a Welding and Fabricating Company
Turn to us at Avondale Machine Products, Inc. for welding and fabricating services. We also do forming, shearing, and plasma cutting for commercial and residential applications.
Our Story
It is at the Philadelphia Naval Ship Yard that Robert Willard started his welding career. This is also where he began dreaming of owning his own business. In 1952, that vision started taking shape when he purchased land in Avondale, PA, put up a building, and established Avondale Machine Products. We are still located here after more than six decades.
Eventually, his two sons Bob and Jeff joined him in the business. For more than 67 years, they have served many businesses from various industries together.
We are still a family-owned-and-operated business to this day. Currently, we are managed by Jeff Willard and his son, Jeffrey Robert (also known as J.R.), who are proud to continue providing the attention to detail and quality craftsmanship that we have become known for.
